Marketing in Music Education: Making Your Case
Music education matters. If you're reading this, you're probably a music educator who already agrees with that. You probably also know that music is facing steep competition for students and resources as elective course options are increasing, budgets are cut and more emphasis is placed on standardized tests and college readiness, and less on building well-rounded students. Your stakeholders need to see how valuable your music program really is so that when it comes time to choose what to invest time and resources into, your program is at the top of the list.
You can do it all. But you shouldn't have to.
So let's work together.
I'll help you reach the right people so you can keep doing what you do best.

About
I have two huge passions - music education and using my skills in marketing and communications to support music education programs.
I'm on a mission to do my part to protect fine arts programs in public schools by helping music educators effectively tell their stories and show their value to the right people.
I bring ten years of experience in the communications and marketing field to the table. I'm also a proud product of music education - I was both a band and choir student growing up.
My professional experiences and musical upbringing form the perfect combination to help your music program thrive. Let's get to work promoting your program to help you get the support you need to change lives.
After attending Victoria and Colin’s session at TMEA, I was so eager to apply their method to my middle school choir program. Since I’m a part of the Warren Choir community, I would receive monthly newsletters from the directors and I knew that this was something I needed to do for my program. I started writing newsletters to the parents in my program, my admin on campus, and my fine arts directors. Additionally, I followed the branding guidelines given by Victoria to enhance our social media presence. By the end of the school year, the parent involvement in my program skyrocketed. I had parents eager to support our title one, inner city choir program. When it came to my principal having to decide if she would split my position or keep me full time at my campus, she advocated for me to stay full time, citing my newsletters to show that the program stays busy and that having a director full time is what made it possible. In my end of year TTESS evaluation, I was able to score as distinguished as a first year teacher in a few domains simply because my admin consistently saw all of the hard work that went into my program. I highly recommend every fine arts teacher to use the tools given by Victoria to take your program to the next level.
Testimonials
Hannah Herrick
Choir Director, Terrell Wells Middle School
After attending Colin and Victoria’s session at TMEA, I was inspired to apply their marketing strategies in my own choral program! The biggest takeaway was to create my own “brand” and I immediately began the rebranding of my dying program.
In just a few months I have already seen improvement in recruiting numbers, student loyalty, and administrative support. I created and co-designed a new icon that represents our school choral program: hard work, fun memories, and prestige, to name a few traits. I'm so glad that every time someone sees that icon they immediately recognize our group and all we encompass.
Throughout my process, Victoria was involved and available for comments, guidance, and emotional support. I highly recommend her services if you want to reshape or continue marketing for your current program.

Victoria’s branding and marketing practices have completely transformed the public perception of the Warren Choir program. We consistently receive high praise from administrators, colleagues, parents, and the community at large, all due to implementing the strategies Victoria designed for the program. If you want the value that your program brings to be understood by everyone at your school, these techniques work wonders.
Victoria’s passion for music and the arts is evident in her work ethic and her attention to detail. She provides high level feedback and support to ensure that your efforts will be successful. She truly is incredible at what she does, and can help you take your program to the next level. I wish I had utilized her skills earlier in my career. I highly recommend her services.
